It was yet another "Going" some 24 but "Turned up" some other 39 trek-mates event - Hahahahaha!! :D
Night trek has its own mystical feel, and this one had more in store. Wait for it, wait for it... Alright here it goessssss.....
It started with Vishal Vijay More's Birthday - Yumm-O Cake and jordaar birthday bumps (ouiiiii).. :)
Super Power line buzz overhead filled the dark night while we climbed up the rocky path coming across camouflage frogs, lizards, numerous 'Kaante HAIN katate yeh din yeh raat' plants. lol. (one tiny bugger got lodged into my palm - - Oh-so Typical when you need 'palm pressure' to climb.) ;)
Besides all this the trek uphill was also accompanied by giggles and jokes, forgotten boss-buff & forgotten 'Watch Out' shouts and 2 watermelons (oh yeah!).
After we reached the top, and had a few minutes rest, what we saw was brrrrrrrrrrreathtaking!!
Dense fog slowly climbing the up the valley onto to the other side - Ekdum Lord of The Rings Movie feel (y) (y)
Sir Bharat Chhatre Upload the photos Please!! (the scene was directed by moi :P)
We watched in awe as we were hurled towards the cave by the back up back lead :P :P
After the fort exploring and TMI poses, we crossed over towards the Panorama Point (Matheran). I just loved that part of the trek as we walked over the valley and around the side of the mountain.
It was around 9:30a.m. when we started the climb up to the Narrow Gauge railway track (Kadyawaracha Ganpati exit), rested a bit and walked across the train track & fallen leaves. (Now, we all thought that it was a bit too hot that day, but we kept walking till Dasturi naaka hoping to eat an ice candy at the end. Try it, It works!! :D)
As the trek came towards its end, it seemed as if everyone had slowed down, the Fast train too suddenly became soooo slowwww, As if teasing us weary souls ~ Fasawala Fasawala :P
All in all we had fun. This trek would be more adventurous and more scenic in the Monsoon for sure.
Thank you Very Big Vishal Khond - The leader who is very well capable, caring, honest, knowledgeable and accommodating. Yo-Yo-Yo! :)
(He also managed to dig out the splinter from my palm, #HighFive)
Thanks to all the trek mates for looking after each other and sharing the laugh.
"We-Shall" be back ..... Until then KEEP DISTANCE!!!!! Hahahahahahahahahaha!!! :P :O :D :D
